Opening Ceremony and Exchange meeting of Chongqing University-Chongqing ZhiYuan Institute of Robot Industry Ecology Cooperative Training Center for Robot Innovative Talents

On June, 4th, 2020, the opening ceremony and conference of Training Center for Robot Innovative Talents was held at the Conference Room 313 in No.7 Teaching Building. Chongqing Institute of Robot Industry Ecology (CIRIE) and the College of Mechanical Engineering (CME), Chongqing University attended the conference.

CQU works together with CIRIE to jointly set up CQU Training Center for Robot Innovative Talents. The Center is now up and running. Xiaohui Chen, the secretary of the part committee of CME first extended a warm welcome to the arrival of Yang Meng, Executive Director of CIRIE, and his group. She hoped to strengthen future cooperation and exchanges in academic study and joint training.

Then, Meng introduced their headquarters, personnel training, academic resources, technology application, project application, and current work, and at the same time, he expressed the hope that the cooperation could give full play to the advantages of both sides and  create an innovative model for training “highly talented professionals” for intelligent manufacturing and robot.

Finally, Baoping Tang, Vice Dean of CME, introduced the key disciplines, key laboratories and existing majors about robot engineering of CQU. He said CME, as the intermediary of CQU and CIRIE, was supposed to take active measures to promote cooperation, improve students’ interactions with robot industry and AI, and enhance their abilities of learning, research and application.
