To implement the strategic requirements of Chongqing’s innovation-driven high-quality economic development and support the city’s pillar manufacturing industries, improving quality and efficiency, the founding meeting of Chongqing Green Manufacturing Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance was held at Conference Room 506, main building, Chongqing University on November 23rd, 2019. Zhipeng Xu, director of the High-tech Division of Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau, Feng Chen, an investigator, Jun Li, director of the Municipal Union Office, Xu Wang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing University, and Caichao Zhu, executive vice president of the Academy of Science and Technology, attended the meeting. In addition, more than 70 people attended the meeting, including Prof. Liu Fei, the former president of Chongqing University, and well-known experts in the field of green manufacturing, as well as representatives of the alliance's governing unit and the brotherhood.
The Chongqing Green Manufacturing Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance is an alliance under the management and guidance of the Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau and is committed to solving a series of key issues in the green development of the city's manufacturing industry. The alliance is jointly established by more than 40 universities, scientific research institutes, and enterprises including Chongqing University, Chongqing Machine Tool (Group) Co., Ltd., China Metallurgical Group, Didi Group Co., Ltd., Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., Chongqing Silian Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., Southwest University, and Chongqing Energy Utilization Monitoring Center (Chongqing Energy Conservation Technology Service Center). The alliance covers Chongqing's pillar industries, such as automobiles, electronics, and equipment manufacturing.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Huajun Cao, Deputy Dean of the College of Mechanical Engineering, Chongqing University. Caichao Zhu delivered a welcome speech. Zhipeng Xu congratulated the establishment of the alliance, gave instructions on the future work of the alliance, and expressed his high hopes for the project. After Feng Chen, an investigator from the High-tech Division of Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau, announced the establishment of the alliance, the alliance was officially established. According to the constitution of the alliance, the chairman and vice chairman of the alliance were elected immediately. Liu Fei and other experts were hired to establish an expert committee, and then a plaque award ceremony was held for the council units and expert members.
Xu Wang delivered a speech as the chairman of the board. She stated that under the guidance of relevant national policies and under the business guidance and supervision of the Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau, Chongqing University will cooperate with scientific research institutes, universities and research institutes in various regions that are interested in promoting the development of green manufacturing technology. Jointly explore the problems, opportunities and challenges faced by Chongqing and our country's green manufacturing innovation technology development, work together to promote the development of Chongqing's green manufacturing industry, promote the construction of ecological civilization, and contribute to the high-quality development strategy of serving Chongqing and China’s innovation-driven economy.
As the secretary-general of the alliance, Huajun Cao made a summary of the alliance's work in 2019 and a report on the 2020 work plan to the council and the expert committee, and listened to the relevant opinions of the expert committee at the meeting. Among them, Prof. Liu Fei, the director of the Alliance Expert Committee, and Prof. Huachuan Yin, the vice chairman of the Alliance, put forward constructive suggestions on the next step of the Alliance's work plan.
The Green Manufacturing Development Forum was held at the second phase by Prof. Xianguang Li, deputy director of the Alliance Expert Committee. The forum invited two experts, researcher Cheng Qiu, director of the China Machinery Productivity Development Center of China Academy of Mechanical Sciences, and Prof. Ming Chen from Shanghai Jiaotong University, to give special reports. At the end of the forum, Huajun Cao analyzed and interpreted the guidelines for key R&D projects related to green manufacturing in the 2020 National Key R&D Program for all alliance member units.
